Myth or Fact?:

Most sexual assaults are planned ahead of time.

Answer

FACT! Studies of convicted rapists over the last 15 years indicate that over 80% of sexual assaults involving one perpetrator are planned in advance and over 95% of gang rapes are planned in advance. This can include stalking, asking a person out with intent to rape, serving alcohol to someone with the intent to get that person intoxicated in order to make them more vulnerable to sexual assault, and more.
