Myth or Fact?:

A spouse or a significant other cannot sexually assault their partner.

Answer

MYTH! The truth is, sexual assault occurs ANY TIME there is not consent for sexual activity of any kind. Being in a relationship does not exclude the possibility of, or justify, sexual assault. A person has the right to say "no" at ANY point. As soon as there is no longer consent, any further sexual contact is a crime.
