The Sexual Assault Prevention Program is an educational awareness and outreach program run through Tri-County Mental Health and Counseling in Athens, Ohio.

We offer a variety of primary prevention activities targeted at middle school, high school and college students, as well as community members in Athens, Hocking and Vinton Counties.

KidFest

 The 21st Annual Kidfest will be held on Saturday April 24th from 10am-2pm at the Ohio University Convocation Center. "The purpose of Kidfest is to provide a safe and fun event for children and families. Kidfest aims to create awareness of the people, services, programs, events and projects in the Athens area which serve the needs of children."

The event is hosted by Athens County Children Services

 Those who are volunteering to be Family Group Leaders for the Rock-in Lock-in to be held on Friday April 16th, must attend a MANDATORY two training on Saturday April 10th and Sunday April 11th from 1pm-4pm in Baker Center

Those who are providing the workshops for the lock-in need to attend the SUNDAY APRIL 11th training from 1-4pm

February 1st-6th marks the nationally recognized Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention week. To mark this week as well as to acknowledge the Tina Croucher Act (a bill mandating teen dating violence prevention education in Ohio schools), Tri-County Mental Health and Counseling’s Sexual Assault Prevention Program is hosting a discussion on the prevention of teen dating violence at the Athens Public Library on Wednesday February 3rd from 11:30am-1pm.
